Sovcombank was established in 1990. TBIF aquired 50% of the bank in 2007 and merged in it all its Russian activities as of then-consumer finance business of ARKA and Bank of Regional Credit, thus creating the Sovcom Group.

The merger brought together two very complementary companies:

  • ARKA and BRC are leaders in consumer finance in their regions of operation
  • Sovcom has a very strong deposit taking franchise.

Extensive presence in Central, Ural, Siberia and Far East regions of Russia:

  • Present in 24 regions of Russia (out of 80)
  • Present in every third city of Russia
  • 151 bank offices as of March, 2009
  • 702 points-of-sale (POS) as of March, 2009
